Valentine’s Day in Providence 2014

January 29, 2014 ~ And so it begins…the quest for the perfect Valentine’s experience. Thank goodness the Super Bowl will distract everyone this weekend, but after that…no excuses! Well after a ton of research, it has become evident to me that every restaurant has a special menu, every hotel has a romance package…how do you choose where to make reservations? It all comes down to service and the experience.  At the Providence Marriott Downtown, when you book a romance package you aren’t simply put in a king room and sent a shabby bottle of champagne. You have choices; the romance packages at the Providence Marriott are customizable.

The Pride & Joy Couples Escape includes deluxe overnight accommodations and late 2 PM check out! OK, now you’re talkin’! It also includes your choice of  a bottle of champagne or a bottle of house wine – not everyone likes champagne, right? Then you decide, breakfast in the award-winning Bluefin Grille OR via room service. Let’s be honest here…who’s not going to pick room service!

The Romance Escape Package also includes deluxe accommodations and a late 2 PM check out. A bottle of champagne and a plate of hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries are delivered once you arrive. Again, you are faced with the decision…eat in the restaurant or via room service. Hmm, I know what I’d do! Don’t forget, you don’t have to check out until 2 PM!

Ready for a cool inside scoop (you would know if you were friends with the hotel on Facebook): The Providence Marriott is running a contest. During the month of February, every romance package is entered to win dinner for two at the Bluefin Grille! The winner will be announced via Facebook every Friday in February.

So that’s where you stay. Now where do you make reservations for dinner? Well, discuss that next week…stay tuned.
