BREAST CANCER AWARENESS SUPPORT IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
“Think Pink” is the theme at the Providence Marriott Downtown
Providence, RI – The Providence Marriott Downtown is proud to support the cause of Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the month of October. The award-winning Bluefin Grille will feature a special Pink Drink & Dessert menu all month – showcasing items like the YumBerry Pinktini made with Yum Berry vodka, cranberry juice and a splash of strawberry schnapps or the luscious Strawberry panna cotta, mint puree and chocolate sauce. The Bluefin Grille has been a proud sponsor of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. This year the restaurant hosted their volunteer training for two evenings in late September.
In addition to the support from the Bluefin Grille, the Providence Marriott Downtown’s engineering team has “painted” the building pink with strategically placed lighting that will mirror the pink beacon of the Statehouse all this week and next. The pink illumination will last through this weekend that celebrates one of the most heavily attended WaterFire weekends of the year.
“The hotel is always very busy on the weekend of the Gloria Gemma Grand Illumination WaterFire and the 5K. We show our support to the community and to survivors of breast cancer and their families in a different way each year. We’ve illuminated the hotel in pink before. But this year we’re taking “Think Pink” to new level.” Says Eric Churchill, General Manager.
